I’ve recently signed up for digi broadband last month (Aug 09) in KL’s pc fair.
Being a previous digi edge user, i usually got around an average of 0.10mbps (upload) and 0.05 (download) for digi edge. Pretty slow but quite stable considering other mobile broadband providers were constantly getting bad connections.
I opted to go for mobile internet cause i prefer to bring my internet around in my pocket (don’t get any weird thoughts now lol). So after using my digi edge slow but stable connection after a 2 years, i decided to remain loyal to digi and try out it’s new digi broadband service.
As i mentioned above i got my digi broadband service at pc fair in kl for RM88 per month (explore package). There’s a max 10gb FUP (fair user policy) but no added charges if i exceed it. It will however be throttled back to edge but since i was already using edge before this, i thought that this was a great deal. Besides i don’t do heavy downloading so 10gb is more than enough for me.
So i’ve been using it for a month plus and i’m quite satisfied with the results (todays test as of writings) :-

The average speed i usually get is around 1.0mbps (download) and 0.200mbps (upload) constantly, if not about 90% of the time.
There are minor times when youtube has to buffer but hey come on, it’s only to buffer for a few seconds. All i have to do i pause the video for about 10 seconds and play, and it doesn’t buffer anymore. This is when it has to buffer though, many times i just play the video and it plays without buffering.
Only bad thing about digi broadband is that the coverage area is limited and not as wide as other mobile broadbands. But i think this is also a good thing as digi focuses on an area and makes it’s service solid and satisfactory for it’s users. Unlike other providers who go all out and in the end many users complaining of it’s slow and unstable service.
All in all, i do recommend digi broadband to others looking for a reliable mobile broadband based on my experience
